Expression of Feelings
Expression of feelings group is a one hour group that occurs weekly. Children will increase their feelings vocabulary, learn what primary emotions are and learn what secondary emotions are. This group will include games, activities, stories and movement. Ages: 6-12 Cost: $30.00 a session, with adjusted fee slots available Dealing with Anxiety Dealing with anxiety is a one hour group that occurs weekly for eight weeks. Children will be taught tools and techniques that can lower their anxiety, relaxation exercises and participate in short visual meditations. A take home CD of visual meditations will be given to children to utilize at home at the end of group. Children will have a time of sharing to normalize their fears that they may be facing with their peer group. Ages: 6-12 Cost: $30.00 a session, with adjusted fee slots available Coping with Divorce Coping with divorce is a one hour group that occurs weekly for eight weeks. Children will have time to discuss and process together the difficulties of divorce. Activities, stories, movement and coping tools will be taught that can help children to communicate clearly with parents about struggles they are facing in regard to divorce. Social Skills Group
One hour group that occurs weekly for eight weeks. Children will learn important social skills that may be lacking. Play, stories and movement will be utilized. Facilitation of play between peers will occur. This group will help participants feel more comfortable in social situations with peers. Participants will be grouped according to age and social skills that need to be targeted. Ages: 2-3 4-6 7-10 Middle School High School Cost: $30.00 a session, with adjusted fee slots available Anger Management for Kids! Anger management for children is a one hour group that occurs weekly for eight weeks. Children will learn to recognize when they are angry, learn feelings that are underneath the anger, anger control techniques, positive communication skills, consequences from bullying and bullying behaviors. Sessions will include activities, worksheets, and active play. Ages: 6-12 Cost: $30.00 a session, with adjusted fee slots available |
