Making Halloween Games Fun and Educational

Picture
More Halloween Games and Ideas
What child is not excited for fall! It is a time of Harvest parties, Halloween parties and treats! Many parents scramble to find games that are fun for school parties, club parties and private parties.  Parents can use these games to help increase learning and promote development for their children. Below is an example.

Pumpkin Hunt Game

For the hunt be sure to hide all different sizes and shapes. You can select a certain area for the younger children if you have a wide variety of ages.  That way those pumpkins could be easier to find.

With this one game there are many possibilities:
  • Pumpkins can be numbered to match to specific prizes-promoting number recognition
  • Different colored pumpkins could be given different points which will be added at the end to gain a prize-promoting math skills
  • Clues could be given as to where pumpkins are hidden- promoting problem solving skills
  • Children could be broken into teams- promoting social skills and working together
  • Each pumpkin could have a riddle that has to be solved first before they can move on to find another one-here you could promote many different learning skills!
  • Pumpkins could be hidden in sensory material too like monster goo or worms-promoting sensory experience for children

The possibilities are endless when you think outside of the box This is just one example. Click the button to the right for more awesome game ideas for Halloween, Harvest and Fall Parties on my Pinterest site!

Please send me pins that you have found to be educational, fun and sensory rich :) I will look forward to hearing from you!
